Sansevieria leaf cultivation plug, all parts of the leaves could be the seed

Cultivation of ornamental plants or reproduce a manner leaf plug is the easiest way, but will be applied to Sansevieria species. Leaf shapes are hard on Sansevieria allows for planting although not yet have a root. After the new roots will then grow new leaves again.

All parts of Sansevieria leaves can be plugged into seedlings, the upper, middle and bottom. 1 leaf 10 cm can be cut into 2 or 3 sections and planted each one, so from a leaf that was removed later will produce 2 or 3 new plants. The important thing is old and tough leaves. You can try it, if not successful there may be a wrong step. When it fails you are not experiencing any loss. Leaves that fail and die just take away from the plant, rather than buying. You will succeed at the next attempt. I've often tried this and succeeded.

The process to stick the leaves:
1. Prepare Sansevieria plants whose leaves are many, are targeting the leaves which will be released. Choose a leaf on the bottom so as not to damage the other leaf arrangement.

2. Prepare the planting medium in pots. Adjust the size of the pot to the size of the leaves that will be planted.

3. Remove the leaves that are being targeted in a way to break from the stems of plants. The most appropriate way is to draw leaves and twisted to one side or backwards and then pull out slowly to escape from the trunk. This method is easier and prevent damage to the plant stem. Do not pull straight toward the leaf as it will damage the leaves and stems of plants can break.

4. The base of the newly released leaves were still wet and had dried to avoid rotting. Put the pieces in the shade leaves are exposed to the wind and let stand for 3 days. Apply cleanser fungus and root stimulator on the base of the leaf. This will stimulate new roots to grow faster.

5. After 3 days and the base of the leaf is completely dry, plug it in the pot leaf that had been prepared. Flush with water. Put a shady place that gets the wind. Since the leaves do not have roots, flush with a little water 2 times in 1 week. Excessive water will make the leaves rot and die.

6. After 1 or 2 months, move the place that gets the spotlight of the sun. Flush once every 2 days. 1 to 2 months later a new leaf will appear on the right and left leaf. Flush once every 2 days as the treatment of adult Sansevieria. We've got a new Sansevieria seedlings. Good luck.

Flashback Ornamental Plant Business in Indonesia

Beautiful Plants
I want to share and make a flashback about the business of ornamental plants in Indonesia. Learning from experience is a good teacher too. Ornamental plants in Indonesia had experienced 'boom' in 2007, an Anthurium leaf types Jenmanii size 20 cm high, sold for US.$200 to 300. Anthurium stem as high as 1 mtr, worth several thousand dollars, a very high price for an ornamental plant. Many traders get a big profit, business, especially ornamental plants Anthurium really tempting, a lot of people who suddenly become merchant plants, with little land in the house full of plants ready for sale and take advantage in the market of ornamental plants.

Beautiful Plants
Too bad ... conditions such as high trend did not last long because 1-2 years later the price of ornamental plants fell to very low, ornamental plants that were previously $ 200 can be purchased only with cash 10 dollars. The seeds of the plant for 5 dollars fell to a half dollars. Many merchants are already investing to buy many plants can not sell and make a profit, then eventually went bankrupt and out of the business of ornamental plants.

Beautiful Plants
Since then the merchants and consumers, or the fans like a nightmare from previous experience, they do not dare to invest even though prices have gone down very low. Ornamental plant business is still there but only on a small scale, transactions that occur are not great and not global, and even then for the type of plants that are less classy. Beautiful crop types such as lost circulation exclusively. When I saw the plants are in very sluggish trend (low), an alarming situation. I am sad to see that condition. Hopefully such a situation will not recur in the future.

Maintenance for Aglaonema

In order Aglaonema plants in our homes are always beautiful, it needs good care and routine. Some things to note are:

1. Planting medium
Aglaonema liked the planting medium moist and have good aeration or porous. Planting medium that is often used are: fern root, husk charcoal grilled, coconut coir. For a combination of these materials, depending on creativity and our experience. Usually a combination that is often used in the nursery is the husk fuel, the roots of ferns and cocopeat ratio 1:1:1. This formula was chosen because it can withstand moisture and porous (good aeration).

2. Pot
All types of pots can be used as a place Aglaounema. The amount adjusted to the size of the pot size plants. Pots that are too large to reproduce the branching of plant roots, thereby reducing leaf growth Aglaonema beautiful.

3. Watering plants
For water needs, Aglaonema require watering at least 3 days. Watering is done on the entire plant, from roots, stems and leaves. But do not get muddy or flooded in the medium. Every day morning and afternoon conducted condensation using a special spray equipment for the plant. Just spray water on the leaves with a fine suit.

4. Provision of fertilizer
Aglaonema require fertilizers as a source of nutrients for growth. For fertilization Aglaonema should use this type of slow release fertilizer with a low dose. Slow release fertilizer will dissolve gradually over watering, so the fertilizer will be more efficient without a lot of wasted nutrients. There are many types of slow release fertilizer in the market such as Decastar and Osmocote. Fertilization can be done 3-4 months in accordance with the recommended dose.

Outdoor Placement

Adenium originate from the dry desert areas, direct sunlight and very little rainfall. If we have the ideal place for Adenium is on the outside of the house (outdoor), for example in the front yard open  and exposed to direct sun. On the open page Adenium can grow normally with flowers that open perfectly exquisite. When placed in the shade and less sun, the flowers will be difficult to grow. In the rainy season conditions, let the plants exposed to direct rain but to avoid fungal attack, give anti-fungal drugs on a regular basis.

Sansevieria is also derived from the desert regions and tropical places, in the open air with a beam of direct sunlight. This plant has a strong resistance against various extreme weather. The suitable place outside the house (outdoor) with direct sunlight. Most people are put in around the front fence, or on the edge of the porch that gets sunlight. Indoor Placement

Aglaonema originated from tropical forests, growing among the large trees are lush, with the condition a little water and little sun. The ideal placement for aglaonema is in the shade or indoors. For placement in the house, which must be considered is the existence of enough air in and out. Usually this space is in the inside of the house has an open roof for air circulation. When the room is closed and no air circulation the growth of plants become unhealthy and susceptible to fungal attack. To refresh your plants, move the plant to the outdoors in the morning between the hours of 7 to 9 o'clock, to be exposed to direct sunlight for 30 minutes to 1 hour, do it 2 times a week. Also given antifungal medication on a regular basis.

Another alternative that many people enjoy is the placement in a sheltered part of the roof terrace. Air circulation in this section is usually good and a little sun, so that the leaf color can come out very beautifully. But do not avoid exposure to rain.

Anthurium also have the same origin area with Aglaonema is derived from a shady forest, then a suitable placement is in the house (indoor) and a little sun exposure. The trick to placing Anthurium are the same as Aglaonema ie inside the house that gets good air circulation, drying in the morning two times a week. Another option is placement in a sheltered roof terrace and not exposed to rain.

Placement of Ornamental Plants, Simple but Very Important

From the aspect of the placement, ornamental plants were divided in groups to the inside of the house (indoor) and outside the house (outdoor). By knowing a little history about where the plant originated, eg whether it is low-lying areas of origin or high, with a hot or humid temperatures, then we will have a trick to put the plants in the house properly. Proper placement will make the plants grow lush and beautiful.  Placements that do not fit will make the plants can not grow optimally and the main character does not show the beauty of ornamental plants. So, placement of ornamental plants, simple but very important.
